So, I love DND and I've had many failed campaigns, but after the release of BG3 and subsequently meeting my partner, I finally have really gotten to play it! The nice thing about bg3, I think, is that a) you can play it single player lmao and b) you can really get well acquainted with dnd mechanics with low pressure. Like, I know what classes I really like to play and what builds suit me way more than before the game released. For example- tempest cleric! I had no idea! I also know better how to set up ability scores and spells. Oh, spells. The lists used to be terrifyingly large and complicated, but I know what I like now. And I feel like I can more easily grasp what descriptions mean. Anyway, I just love dnd. I've always loved high fantasy, so it's not really a surprise, but I owe it a lot :3
